1. I will be in a debate Sunday morning, November 11th at North Shore Congregation Israel , 1185 Sheridan Road , Glencoe which will address the topic of the legality and wisdom of Israeli settlements in the West Bank. . I will be debating Sam Fleischacker of Americans for Peace Now . The event begins at 9:30 AM, with a small breakfast at 9.
2. 10th district Congressman Mark Kirk, Israel's best friend in Congress, will be speaking at North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, 1175 Sheridan Rd., Highland Park, IL on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 7 PM. He will talk about the precarious situation in the Middle East and how Israel's future hangs in the balance between its few friends and its many enemies. Dessert will be served.
3. The Democrats need more Joe Liebermans, and fewer left wing anti-war (any war) attack dogs. Last year the Democrats ran Lieberman out of the party in his Senate primary, and now they hold the Senate due only to his caucusing with them, though elected as an independent. 10 British versus US libel law. Here, if you are libeled you have to prove malice, and falsity by the party that libeled you. There the party accused of libel has to prove it has not done so. . . Guess which set of laws the Saudi sheiks are using to go after their American enemies?
